SGK Global Shipping Services (“SGK,” “we,” “us”) provides freight forwarding and logistics services between the United States and Nigeria. This policy explains what information we collect from customers, how we use it, and the choices you have.

We collect this information when you provide it verbally to our staff by phone or in person, in writing on shipping instruction and service agreement forms, or through the contact and booking forms on our website.

We use your information to provide freight forwarding services: receiving and processing cargo, preparing shipping documents, arranging transportation, invoicing and processing payments, notifying you about your shipments, and complying with customs and export regulations.
SMS / Text Message Program
When you provide your mobile number and consent to receive text messages, we send transactional shipment and account notifications, including warehouse receipt confirmations, shipment status updates, invoice and payment confirmations, and cargo release notifications.
- Message frequency varies with your shipment activity — typically 2–6 messages per shipment.
- Message and data rates may apply. Charges are billed by your mobile carrier.

- Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except with vendors and service providers acting on our behalf solely to deliver the messages described above (for example, our messaging platform provider).
Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to provide our services: with carriers, terminals, and customs authorities to move and clear your cargo; with our payment processors to handle transactions; with service providers who operate our systems on our behalf; and where required by law.
Data Security & Retention
We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect your information, and we retain it as long as needed to provide services and meet legal, accounting, and regulatory requirements applicable to freight forwarding and international trade.
